At Calvary we believe that the single most essential aspect of a child’s life — indeed, anyone’s life — is his or her relationship with Jesus Christ.

Objectives of our children’s ministry are to lay foundations for a child to accept Jesus Christ as Savior at the time when God’s Spirit leads him or her to do so and to prepare children to be intentional followers of Christ.

Calvary offers a wide range of opportunities for children, from Bible study to music and missions, to camps and special events.

Infants and Younger Preschoolers

Thank you for entrusting your young child to us at Calvary. As you place your child in our care we are happy to answer any questions that you may have about our children’s ministry. In addition to answering your questions, we will ask you to give us some information so that we may care for your child in the best and safest manner possible.

Our goal is to provide a nurturing environment where your child begins to learn about God’s love. These early years of Bible stories, songs and play build a biblical foundation that

will carry your child into deeper learning and understanding.

We love playing with, holding and caring for each individual child, showing even the youngest infant his or her value in the family of Christ. Whether listening to music, being rocked to sleep or having his or her diaper changed, your child will feel loved and cared for!

Older Preschoolers

Whether your child barrels into the room energetically or slips in quietly, she or he will find a unique welcome in our age-graded classes.

Your child is an individual created by God and will be loved and honored as such!

Your child will always be met with a warm and welcoming smile and a genuine desire to get to know him or her. Our time together is spent in activities that engage all the senses, interests and abilities. The choices today may be looking at books, building with blocks, paining, discovering nature and playing musical instruments…tomorrow or next week they may be completely different!

Biblical truths are taught through these activities as well as through stories, sharing and asking/answering questions.

School Age Children

If it is your heart’s desire for your child to have a lifelong relationship with Jesus,

we want to partner with you to build this foundation. Our Sunday and Wednesday ministries are environments where kids can feel safe and loved. We surround children with familiar faces and teach them about God in a vibrant, creative way. We long for children to become infused with the love

of Christ from the moment they enter our doors.

Calvary's teachers encourage kids to participate, helping them to explore the Bible, their faith and their world. Children are honored for their uniqueness and for the shoes that only they can fill in God’s big family. As children pass through physical, intellectual and spiritual stages, they will be supported, loved, inspired and engaged.
